Dillon Faulkner, Associate Director of MVP Basketball Camp

Dillon Faulkner,
President, Backyard Sports

Dillon has always been passionate about basketball. After playing, Dillon went on to pursue a degree in Sport Management at SUNY Fredonia while serving as an Assistant Coach for the Men’s basketball team under Head Coach, Phil Seymore. Graduating Summa Cum Laude in 2016, Dillon went on to graduate with a 4.0 from Manhattanville College, earning an M.S. in Sport Business Management. Dillon’s passion for sports and community steered him to Backyard Sports, where he now serves as the President of Backyard Sports and COO of Backyard Sports Cares & MVP Basketball Camp.

MVP Basketball Camp and Stephanie Spiridon

Stephanie Spiridon, Director 

Stephanie has been an employee of MVP Basketball Camp since the summer of 2013.  As Director, she is responsible for overseeing enrollment and other business functions of camp year round. During the school year, Stephanie is a Business Education Teacher in the Danbury Connecticut school district, where she also serves as the Varsity Girls Lacrosse coach. In her free time, she enjoys reading and boating on Candlewood Lake.

Tim Jenkins, Co-director of MVP Basketball Camp

Tim Jenkins,

Tim is currently the Assistant Athletic Director and boys varsity basketball coach at The Birch Wathen Lenox School in New York City.  He has worked at MVP since 2000 and in 2012 was promoted to Camp Director. During his tenure, he has earned his Master’s Degree in Recreation Administration while co-coaching a nationally ranked women’s basketball team at Westchester Community College.

Ty has been the Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach at Mamaroneck High School since 2004 with more than 230 wins becoming the winningest coach in Mamaroneck basketball history. As a two time Coach of the Year winner, two time Gold Medalist for BCANY and John Martino Service Award winner; Ty brings his love for community and immense basketball knowledge to MVP, putting smiles on the faces of more than 1,000 campers each summer. 

Coaching Staff

In addition to our camp leadership, MVP staffs more than twenty local teachers and coaches with decades of experience coaching at the youth, high school, college and professional levels. Many of our coaches also have high school, college and professional playing experience of their own. We also welcome back many former campers as CITs and support staff each summer.
